Melody Music Birmingham
MMB is a music group for young people with additional support needs. The group is run by the charity Melody, which strives to provide provisions for young people with ASN to learn a musical instrument. MMB takes place on a weekly basis at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and is organising by volunteer tutors, all of whom are either past or present students of the institution.
The group caters for all abilities, and works towards one concert each term. Each individual works alongside a tutor in order to be given the support that they need. The tutors strive to create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, and present a variety of activities within each session. Both directors have been involved as tutors of MMB since 2011.
